Forces of Galba in Spain. Anonymous, 3 April-2nd half of June 68. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.68 g, 7 h), uncertain mint in Spain. Group VI. SALVS PVBLIC Laureate head of Salus to right. Rev. ROMA VICTRIX Roma standing left, right foot set on globe, holding olive branch in her right hand and spear in her left. BMC p., 291, † note = CG 71.2 = Cohen 401 = Martin 54 and pl. 4, 54 M = Nicolas 52 and pl. XII, 52 = RIC 36 (same dies). CG 71.1 (this coin). Of the highest rarity, the second known example. Nicely toned and struck on a full flan. A few minor scratches and slightly rough, otherwise, nearly very fine.
